Welcome to Bangkit 2023 Application Process

Bangkit is a career readiness program that aims to produce high-caliber technical talent for world-class Indonesian technology companies and startups, fully supported by Google, GoTo, and Traveloka.

This career-readiness has been acknowledged by President Jokowi and praised by Minister Nadiem Makarim (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology). Bangkit successfully trained 6.400 students from across Indonesia. From more than 5,000 participants who have graduated from this program, of which 27% are women.

We’re enrolling up to 6,000 university students across 3 learning paths to help them grow in-demand skills in tech throughout the odd semester (semester ganjil) of 2023. For more information about Bangkit, please visit g.co/bangkit.

Application Process

Applicants must complete all five sections in order to be considered for Bangkit 2023. Once you have completed all five sections you will receive an email confirmation.

Important Dates:
  • Applications being accepted: May 4th, 2023 - June 7th, 2023
  • Announcement of selected participants: July 1st, 2023 - July 30th, 2023
  • Online learning commences: August 14th, 2023
  • Program ends: January 31st, 2024

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes. As an inclusive program, Bangkit also accepts Student from Universities that is not under of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT)- such as UIN under Ministry of Religion Affairs, STMM MMTC under Kominfo, STMKG under BMKG – as long as it’s approved by the university (Students’ involvement, SKS Credits, etc).

Students from Universities Under MoECRT will have to go through additional process of registering thru Kampus Merdeka Platform.

Applicants were considered for acceptance into Bangkit based on the entirety of their application including all eligibility criteria. Due to the number of applicants, we were unable to accept all applicants. Only completed applications (including assessment test, commitment letter, and administratively complete applicants) were considered for selection

  1. Application deadline: June 7th, 2023

  3. Program duration: August 2023 – January 2024

Due to eligibility requirements for Kampus Merdeka, we regret to inform you that you are ineligible to be considered for Bangkit 2023 unless you are an active undergraduate student that finished 5 semesters of study or more. However, your university has the final say on eligibility and anyone who meets the requirements for admission will be given equal consideration. 

If you have already been certified on one or more of these certifications, you may still be eligible for Bangkit 2023, but you will only be considered for learning paths other than those for which you have been certified for.

No. Students may only enroll in one learning path per year.

The application assessments will be used to evaluate your preparedness to become an active, engaged learner in Bangkit. Your results will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility and qualifications for successfully participating in this rigorous program.

Yes. Each applicant must complete all of the application steps in order to be considered for admission into Bangkit.

As an applicant, you will need to prepare:

  • A quiet environment (no people in proximity is recommended)
  • Computer or Laptop with a fully-charged battery.
  • A stable and reliable internet connection and possibly backup connections.
  • Paper and pen/pencils (optional, in case you need to visualize or take notes).
  • Calculator (optional).

No. You will be given only one opportunity to complete the required assessments. 

There are no penalty for wrong answers.

Assessments can be done up to the application deadline – before June 7th, 2023. But we encourage you to finish the assessment as early as possible.
