Welcome to Bangkit 2021 Application Process

Bangkit is a Google-led academy designed to produce high-calibre, technical talent for world-class, Indonesian technology companies and startups. This year, Bangkit is offered as an approved Kampus Merdeka program supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. We’re enrolling up to 3,000 university students across 3 learning paths to help them grow in-demand skills in tech throughout the even semester of 2021. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes. Bangkit Application deadline is extended to 14 January 2021

  • To filter, inform, and approve student to join Bangkit. As bangkit may converts up to 20 sks, Students need to be reminded on their commitment. Lecturers know best of each individual students whom they supervise.
  • To be Point of contact from Bangkit. Bangkit sends information and may contact lecturers if needed (cases: students lagging or missing sessions, etc)
  • To Convert the SKS from Bangkit. Bangkit will issue microcredentials and transcript, and it needs to be converted based on Faculty/Study Programme/University policy.

Due to eligibility requirements for Kampus Merdeka, we regret to inform you that you are ineligible to be considered for Bangkit 2021 unless you are an active undergraduate student that finished 5 semesters of study or more. However, your university has the final say on eligibility and anyone who meets the requirements for admission will be given equal consideration. 

If you have already been certified on one or more of these certifications, you may still be eligible for Bangkit 2021, but you will only be considered for learning paths other than those for which you have been certified.

No. Students may only enroll in one learning path per year. However, you may indicate your second and third preferences so that we might consider you should your first choice be oversubscribed.

Except under extenuating circumstances, it will not be possible to change learning paths once you have been enrolled in Bangkit. Please indicate in order of preference the learning paths for which you are interested in applying..

The application assessments will be used to evaluate your preparedness to become an active, engaged learner in Bangkit. Your results will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility and qualifications for successfully participating in this rigorous program.

Yes. Each applicant must complete all of the application steps in order to be considered for admission into Bangkit.

As an applicant, you will need to prepare:

  • A quiet environment (no people in proximity is recommended)
  • Computer or Laptop with a fully-charged battery.
  • A stable and reliable internet connection and possibly backup connections.
  • Paper and pen/pencils (optional, in case you need to visualize or take notes).
  • Calculator (optional).

No. You will be given only one opportunity to complete the required assessments. 

There are no penalty for wrong answers.

Assessments can be done up to the application deadline (8 January 2021 extended to 14 January 2021). But we encourage you to finish the assessment as early as possible so that you have additional time to obtain approval from your University.

Faculty Approval can be submitted up to the application deadline (8 January 2021 extended to 14 January 2021). But we do really encourage you to start obtaining approval from your University as soon as possible, just to be sure.
